ARWEN ROSE DRESS

After my little "mishap"    with what suppose to be my first Lord Of The Rings Costume and Arwen Gown, I started going about choosing another Arwen Dress to be done in time for the next Cosplay Event, CosMas 2003 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Arwen Rose Dress wasn't really at the top of my list of potential Arwen Dress I want to do but while shopping at my usual cloths shops at Arab Street, I came across a Pink Organza that has White Velvet Flowers Patterns on it which I thought will be a great substitute for the original (a Beaded Silk Chiffon or Organza). Thus, I made the decision to get that Arwen Rose Dress Done.

For my version of the Arwen Rose Dress, I had it made up of several materials, namely "Singer" Polyester Velvet (Red), Rose Red Acetate Lining, Dyed (Dylon Paris Rose) Japanese Crepe Satin, White Velvet Flowers Pattern Pink Organza, Scallops Piping, White Piping and Celtic-Braid Trimming.

The Dress was done by a local Malay Seamstress at Joo Chiat Complex (Hidayat Butik Enterprise) at the cost of SGD170 and took over a month to be completed. It was first worn at CosMas 2003 in Malaysia and again at several local Photoshoots and Lord Of The Rings Event/Roadshows.
