GRYFFINDOR STUDENT

When the movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban came out in May 2004, I was both Horrified and Relieved upon seeing the new School Uniform worn by the Students of the various House at Hogwarts School.

Horrified as all the Research friends and I have done the past year concerning the School Uniform as seen in the first two movies was going down the drain (kinda....) BUT was Relieved as the new School Robe have a Hood instead of that "3-Pleats Attachment" Collar which I still haven't figure out properly till now.    Hence, by March 2005, I set out to try do the School Robe worn by the Students at Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

For a start, I try out doing the School Robe worn by the students of Gryffindor House for a Singapore Symphony Orchestra Wizard Concert in April at the Victoria Concert Hall. From that experience, I gained some insight on how to put this type of robe together, drafted an appropriate pattern for it and the type of fabrics I can use for it.
